Wanting to join the Canadian Armed Forces like his five older brothers, Livio (Lee) lied about his age and enlisted when he was only 16 years old. He served as a cook and became a butcher and a caterer after the war. Uncle Lee was the life of the party at all of our family reunions — it was a joy to be in his company.
