Questions about
artist profiles.
Do I need to pay to have an artist profile?
No. Public artist profiles do not require a subscription. A free account lets you add records and contribute where editing is permitted. Pro adds profile claiming, editing control and advanced engagement analytics.
What’s the difference between an account and an artist profile?
Your account is how you sign in and contribute. Your artist profile is the public page that brings together your work and professional information. Creating an account does not automatically create or claim that page.
What if my profile already exists?
Use the existing profile rather than creating a duplicate. You can contribute where editing is permitted. If the profile is already claimed, check the claiming options on that page.
Who can edit my profile?
Editing access depends on the record’s permissions and whether it has been claimed. Claimed profiles restrict community edits. A free account does not grant unrestricted editing access.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds personal profile claiming, control over community edits and advanced engagement analytics. Claiming is a separate step from subscribing, and it does not give you control over every linked record.
Can I use UntitledDb instead of a personal website?
Your profile can be a public home for your work and professional history. It uses UntitledDb’s shared profile format, and you can use it on its own or alongside your website.
