As the oldest brother, Uncle Rindo was warm-hearted, generous, and always knew how to make us laugh. While training in Halifax, he contracted tonsillitis and was temporarily dismissed from service before he could travel overseas to join the war effort. He taught at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) for many years before becoming the Dean of Applied Arts and a citizenship judge after retirement.
