Transcribed letters on handmade paper, 24 x 36 x 8 inches, courtesy of the artist.
After serving in the RCAF in England, Uncle Olindo often visited Enrico (Hank) in the hospital and wrote home to inform the family of his brother’s mental health and recovery from his burn injuries. It was a pleasure transcribing his letters and incorporating them into his portrait. They were very warm and delightfully funny.
