Kristina Borhes is an author, independent researcher, and film director born in Ukraine, currently based in France. She's a laureate of PAUSE Program (College de France).
With a degree in political science and a profound interest in art history, she has followed a journey that fuses the two. In her writings, Kristina contextualizes the artists' narratives, showing how their work is influenced by the larger cultural and historical setting. She treats in-depth interviews as the cornerstone of her practice. Kristina often incorporates video documentation in her research, and this sometimes leads to the creation of short films on art.
Her main interests revolve around two directions: liminality in digital art and the intersection of graffiti-associated movements with contemporary painting.
