Press Release

Camille is a second solo exhibition of Ant Łakomsk's at the Turnus Gallery. The collection of works presented in the exhibition is a development of the theme of self-representation present in her painting. The artist reflects upon the issue of exposure – both the image as seen by others and exhibition strategies. The arrangement of Camille, developed in collaboration with Zuzanna Kozłowska, simultaneously references the work of William Morris (1834–1896), Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978) and Marc Camille Chaimowicz (1947–2024). Łakomsk and Kozłowska exploit the interval stretched between the tradition of craftsmanship and post-digital reality.
