Virtual and visual overdose – this is the environment we live in today. So many grinning, laughing figures look back at us from the screens, shining like false saints, while we are getting further and further away from the real world. We just watch them like a voyeur, hoping to find the secret of eternal happiness. Dávid Németh’s works reveal a distorted and fragmented world, where confusion is the state of everyday consumption. By combining digital and traditional painting techniques, he displays the symbols of our “parade” world, as if we were looking at them through Dumbo’s psychedelic glasses. Vibrant colors and contrasts pull us into the chaos with effortless confidence and force us to reinterpret what we call reality. Because this parade is chaos and catharsis at the same time, where everyone can recognize themselves, if they dare.
