Biography
Merav Leibküchler is a Berlin based visual artist working across painting, installation, and performance. Her practice explores how form emerges from uncertainty, moving between visibility and concealment, stability and dissolution.
In her paintings, precise forms in oil appear within atmospheric fields of charcoal, suggesting biomorphic structures, cosmic bodies, or unknown matter. Her installations translate these concerns into space through fabric, rope, darkness, and tension.
Drawing on her background in contemporary dance, Leibküchler approaches composition through movement, pressure, rhythm, and counterforce. She graduated as a Meisterschülerin of Professor Thomas Zipp from the Berlin University of the Arts in 2019.
