Biography

Black American Queer Artist working in sculpture, installation, performance, film, and ritualistic style, text-to-form poetry, creating depictions of body absence, presence, and memory. I interrogate cultural identities and psychological systems of pressure, critiquing modern surveillance technology and weaponized infrastructure. Through analyzing the body as both a sacred object and archival site of personal and collective memory, I connect my work to my ancestral lineage, often through matrilineal perspectives.

My practice blends ephemeral art, body sculpture, representations of labor, and mind-body mapping as “extensions of the vessel” or theoretical body prosthetics. I speak the gentle language of body mindfulness through high-labor sculptural methods of moldmaking and fabrication, including plaster, silicone, resin, concrete, wood, and metal. With a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Sculpture from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, Georgia State University, I continue…
