ALMA is a contemporary art gallery founded in Riga, Latvia, in 2005 by Astrida Riņķe. Since 2017, the gallery has operated from a striking Soviet modernist glass building where exhibitions remain visible to the public day and night.
ALMA’s programme brings together artists engaging with Baltic cultural and historical narratives through poetic, symbolic, and deeply personal approaches. Named after the heroine of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s film Santa Sangre, symbolising love, intuition, and courage—values that continue to guide ALMA’s work.
