Silke Lindner is pleased to announce Eurhythmia, a group exhibition featuring six artists whose non-representational practices are informed by music and rhythm. Through sculpture, painting, and drawing, the works in the show evoke movement and pulse—drawing from notational systems as well as the sensory patterns of nightlife and everyday experience.


In Étude, Alice Gong Xiaowen combines pitch modulations with asemic notation using six high-frequency strings from a guzheng, an ancient Chinese plucked zither. Each organically curved string is punctuated by soap stones resembling fingerpicks, conjuring a ghostly hand that slides down the strings in a glissando gesture—evoking presence through absence, and sound through form.


Bronson Smillie repurposes accountant ledger paper as a substrate for notational grids, borrowing the visual language of musical scores.…
