OHNO gallery presents Figment, by Maruki Nowacki

OHNO gallery presents Figment, a solo exhibition by Maruki Nowacki bringing together five large-scale works made with inks, tempera, spray paint, paper, thread, and embroidery. The exhibition proposes a visual universe in transformation, constructed from lines, layers, cutouts, and superimpositions.
Nowacki’s work begins with the line, which unfolds through spontaneous strokes and gives rise to new forms through openwork, cutouts, embroidery, and layers of paint. The works, made on 300 gsm Canson paper using marouflage, incorporate velvet-ribbon finishes and textile elements, such as fabric-backed…
