The internationally renowned Geneva-based artist John M Armleder (*1948) has been tirelessly exploring various artistic movements, practices and media for forty years. His Œuvre is characterised in particular by a constant questioning of expectations regarding art, its value and its presentation. The exhibition in Biel focuses on the artist’s graphic work and presents several hundred drawings in a unique arrangement. These are complemented by paintings, sculptures and installations, some of which have been created from found objects in Biel.
Realised in collaboration with MAMCO, Geneva.
With the support of Pro Helvetia, the Fonds Municipal d’art contemporain (FMAC) and the Service cantonal de la culture (SCC)
