In her solo exhibition Bruch, Juliane Tübke investigates the multifaceted relationships between humans and the environment through a series of works grounded in both aesthetic and ecological research. The works focus on specific plant species, their agency, and their dynamic interplay with human behavior. Throughout the exhibition, wounded landscapes, ritual transmissions of human illness, and the potential healing of Anthropocene damage—such as through the rewetting of Greifswald’s peatlands—unfold into wide-ranging narratives that raise pressing questions about responsibility within the ecosystems we inhabit.
