Biography
Zoe Williams is a London-based artist working across sculpture, installation, performance, drawing and scenography. Her practice explores the fetishistic nature of materials and their relationship to embodied forms of consumption and expenditure. Through her work, she wishes to generate conversations around the pressures of power, the politics of sex and the economics of production.
She is represented by the Ciaccia Levi Gallery, Paris-Torino, and has worked with a range of international institutions including: Fraeme Projects, La Friche la Belle de Mai, Marseille; Somerset House, London; Tate St Ives; Roberts Institute of Art, London; DCA, Dundee; Spike Island, Bristol; Dortmunder Kunstverein; Heidelberger Kunstverein; Mimosa House, London; Le Crédac, Ivry-Sur-Seine and Villa Arson, Nice. Her work is part of the FRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine La Méca collection in France, Collezione Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Italy, and CAPC Musée d'art Contemporain de Bordeaux Collection.
