My name is Veza Czyn, born 1991 in Bosnia-Herzegowina, living and working in Vienna, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
I work across different media: drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, text, audio.
My artistic practice revolves around questions of everyday life, memories, politics, dreams, desires, relationships, doubt, failure, repetition. I am working my way through questions around the weird process of being in the studio doing this thing I’m doing: How to be an artist? What am I doing? What does the material do? My artistic work is a messy response or reflection of these questions. Serious play, peripheral thinking, pathetic, but unavoidable.
