Biography
Ivan Klymenko works in different areas of painting, such as realism, impressionism, expressionism, abstractionism, figurative art, graphics, and collage. At the beginning of his career, Ivan tried various media such as pencil, charcoal, pastel, sanguine, ink, watercolor, gouache, tempera, but currently prefers to work with oil paints on canvas. In his works, Ivan often emphasizes what is hidden from the eyes or what people tend not to notice: details, objects, lighting, the beauty of nature, mysticism. Recently, the artist has been focusing on figurative art and painting, depicting on paper or canvas those around him or by whom he is inspired. Ivan actively participates both in solo and group exhibitions, exhibits his works not only in the Czech Republic, Europe, but also abroad. Ivan Klymenko's works are in private collections in such countries as: Czech Republic, USA, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Turkey.
