Biography
Dima Mykytenko (b.1987) is a visual artist, based in Ukraine.
Even though he works in a large variety of media encompassing drawing, pyrography, installation and video, he treats painting as central to his practice.
Abstract elements and the methods of intuitive drawing constitute his own distinct visual language. In his work, Dima is guided by the principles of organic geometry where one can trace the anatomical origin of the line created by the human hand and unaffected by intrusion of drawing tools.
Dima (fka Azo) is well-known within European post-graffiti scene for his site-specific experiments aimed to investigate the interaction between the abstract shape and environment.
