
Biography
Entirely self-educated, Alexander (b.1988, USA) chose to forgo traditional academic paths to support his family’s graphic design business. After leaving high school, Alexander delved deeply into music and art, developing a profound appreciation for various musical genres including jazz, classical, folk, blues, country, psychedelic rock, experimental, electronic, and traditional music. His artistic influences are equally eclectic, encompassing movements such as Fluxus, Christian Iconology, Impressionism, Suprematism and Abstract Expressionism.
Since 2008, Alexander has gained recognition in the experimental music world performing under aliases like D/P/I and Deep Magic releasing work on Shelter Press and his own imprints. As a member of Sun Araw, he performed at venues such as MoMA PS1, Cafe Oto, and Mutek and collaborated with musical luminaries such as Laraaji and Orphy Robinson.
