Biography
Robbert Goyvaerts is one half of the Ghent (BE) based artist duo Frank&Robbert Robbert&Frank. Frank&Robbert is a transdisciplinairy collective; together they create and animate sculptures and visual art. Their creations always have a performative layer that enables the duo to connect with (random) audiences. Doing so they reclaim public space. Their oeuvre sits on the brink between installation art and ritual. The duo collaborates since 2008. They have their own organization and theater group. Since 2020 they are represented by Fred&Ferry gallery from Antwerp.
Robbert believes in creativity, the power of storytelling, connecting people and the overall magic of the cosmos.
Robbert is a wood worker, metal worker, sculptor, coder and actor.
Robbert was co-founder of the video art collective PORT ACTIF (2010-2019).
