17sport is a Montreal duo composed of Iris Lou Dune and Del Renee Vise, both bilingual (French and English) multidisciplinary artists who met and formed the band in 2024. The couple are both musicians and producers, using Garageband to create with distortion and sound transformation at the heart of their process. 17sport is the duo's principal vector for their artistic practice, where the listener arrives at a crossroad of photography, performance, film, fashion, design and music. They layer soaring vocals with jagged synths and visceral bass while building a world with themes of uncertainty, hope and the pursuit of freedom. Listening to 17sport is like walking on a tightrope of choosing between love and hate, using rage to construct a better self. Their sound is reminiscent of Ladytron, ear, Bassvictim and Katie Jane Garside, belonging to a DIY, electronica and experimental scene.
