Description
Pragovka Gallery is one of the most distinctive artist-run spaces in the Czech Republic. It emerged from the initiative of a community of artists who, starting in 2010, began settling in the abandoned grounds of the former Praga automobile factory in Vysočany. Spontaneous activities, the first joint exhibitions, and the need for a stable base gradually led to the founding of the Pragovka for Art association, which has run the gallery since its establishment in 2018. Current residents include Kateřina Adamová Linhartová, Karíma Al-Mukhtarová, Jakub Janovský, Martin Káňa, Vladimír Merta, Veronika Přikrylová and her ceramics studio BLATO, Adam Štech, and Pavel Ticho(ň), among others.
The gallery focuses on contemporary visual art with an emphasis on innovative approaches and international dialogue.
