Rue Américaine 13 is proud to present Sofia: Ultralight, a new work from Ben Morgan-Cleveland.
A solitary puppet named Sofia, constructed out of carbon fibre bands, hangs from a harness attached to wires, cables and pulleys. Her performance is imminent. Sailing through the space, with paintbrushes waving. She will be lowered down, a dark moss robe carefully placed over her. The performance will be repeated, Sofia will again rise and glide.

Ben Morgan-Cleveland (b. 1983, USA) lives and works in New York. He cofounded and ran the gallery Real Fine Arts, with Tyler Dobson, from 2008 - 2018. He has had solo exhibitions at Eli Ping, Kai Matsumiya, and Real Fine Arts and participated in group exhibitions including Huttendasein, 15 Orient, Freak Out, Greene Naftali and at Gandt Soho. He is now a director at 15 Orient.

Rue Américaine 13 is proud to present Sofia: Ultralight, a new work from Ben Morgan-Cleveland.
