Press Release

Expanding from the artist’s ongoing explorations of infrastructure, authenticity, and value, Bliss Point marks Melle Nieling’s first solo show in London.

What happens when fidelity and realism are completely destabilised by noise and dispersion? Is there still room for revelation and irony in our capacity to know?

Bliss Point presents a new body of work and a large-scale site-specific installation that considers opacity as a material and tactic of artistic production, with a particular focus on post-truth politics and mechanisms of authority. This exhibition is curated by Fiona Ye and made possible through the generous support of the Vane-Fairweather Foundation.
