In Calamity and Dismissal, Eric Wesley converts a pun into a system. “Clams” and “Missiles” — calamity and dismissal, feminine and masculine — structure a field of desire, collision, and absurd logic. Known for his analytic humor and use of material precision as philosophical bait, Wesley stages a theater of implication where language folds back on itself. Meaning is produced through misfire, attraction through recoil. The result is both erotic and deadpan: an exhibition that turns the double entendre into a medium of its own.
