Fragile Archives, Affective Ties draws on historian Ceren Özpınar’s notion of affective ties, framing art as inseparable from the lived experiences of artists and positioning it as a means to challenge canonical art histories that have long omitted and marginalized gendered bodies. The exhibition emphasizes the artists’ practices not as isolated gestures but as relational ones, shaped through encounters, situated contexts, and embodied ways of knowing.
