Description
This physical installation extends the digital vocabulary of the Faces project into a spatial dialogue. By dragging the fleeting velocity of virtual rendering into the heavy, precarious reality of physical space, the works bridges the uncanny gap between digital assets and bodily architecture.
The central video loop; displaying a chaotic, high-velocity sequence of morphing AI and. 3D meshes and distressed micro-expressions is anchored not by a sleek pedestal, but by a crude block of cast concrete resting on flattened, torn cardboard. The exposed media player and wiring lay bare the technological guts of the work. This staging grounds the digital anxiety of the April 2020 simulation in a state of physical decay, these virtual entities are running on the ruins of a collapsed infrastructure.
