Oscar Tuazon's first solo exhibition in Mexico, "Sun Mirror Moon," will grace the halls of General Expenses in collaboration with Cibrián, remaining open to the public until June 2026. Following the recent conclusion of CONDO Mexico (April 23–26), this exhibition invites audiences into a profound exploration of energy and existence, bridging two dedicated programs committed to conceptual and material discourse.
In "Sun Mirror Moon," the dialogue unfolds through installations that evoke the surplus energy oscillating between the Sun and the Earth, a gift that transcends human productivity and exchange. While traditional economic models seek to convert energy into output, Tuazon's work contemplates what exists in the "remainder," embracing the ineffable escapes of function. Utilizing industrial materials and open structures, the exhibition transforms the viewer from a passive observer into an engaged participant, inviting them to partake in this exploration of existence.
