Biography
Lana Haga is an interdisciplinary artist who draws inspiration from ecology, quantum physics, and philosophy to explore how humans and the surrounding world transform, adapt, and persist in an era marked by overproduction and ecological collapse. Working with sculpture, installation, relief and sound, the artist allows the works to evolve in parallel and influence one another as parts of an interconnected system. Haga’s works appear as speculative lifeforms, hybrid organisms, and portals between realities. By using post-consumer and post-industrial materials—such as plastics and textiles—she allows them to act through their own histories, agencies, and visual qualities.
Her work has been exhibited internationally at Royal Academy of Arts (London, UK), CICA Museum (Gimpo, South Korea) and in Finland at MUU Contemporary Art Centre (Helsinki), Harkko Museum (Raisio), the Ostrobothnian Museum (Vaasa) and Vaasa City Art Gallery (Vaasa).
