Dissent Series opens in Trieste with Speaking After the Body, tracing the marks of dissent
Opening on May 19, 2026 at 6:30 PM, Speaking After the Body, the first edition of Dissent Series, launches an international exhibition program dedicated to discussions on the relationship between art and dissent, understood as a foundational element of democracy. The project is proposed by Adriatico Book Club ETS and curated by Lorenzo Lazzari. Hosted at Sala Veruda in Trieste, with support from the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Le Fondazioni Casali ETS, the exhibition explores, through works by Carloni-Franceschetti, Shadi Harouni, and Madeleine Ruggi, the power objects, images, and sounds possess to reactivate and transmit the messages of collective struggles across generations.
