Description
Kontrast is part of an ongoing sculptural body of work in which Tina Reichel translates movement, materiality, and spatial perception into physical form.
Originating from a painted canvas that leaves the traditional two-dimensional picture plane through twisting and tension, the work evolves into different material states — from the original canvas piece to reflective stainless steel surfaces and ultimately to the permanent sculptural presence of bronze.
Each material transformation alters not only the physical appearance of the work, but also its impact within space. Light, reflection, surface structure, and shifting perspectives create a continuously changing perception, allowing the sculpture to generate new visual tensions depending on its environment, daylight, and viewing angle.
The works exist between stillness and movement, control and organic flow. At the same time, they alter the emotional perception of their surroundings and enter into direct dialogue with architecture, space,…
