Description

Wooden Frame/Box containing eight collaged monotypes of shark cases. The prints are made with collected marine plastic, cut out and mounted on paper.

This artist book is directly influenced by Elizabeth Kolbert's book The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History (2014). It imitates the type of samplers used in natural science to visualize different species. But where once was abundance we now register the species we lose due to their extinction.

This Work is part of the permanent collection of artists' books at Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) Wolfenbüttel, Germany
